Does anyone know when the full team list will be made? As of now, who do we know that has for sure locked up a spot on the Canadian team?

Any insights into why Aaron Brown is not on team? Also, our two "discretionary" relay team runners are 10.32 and 10.45 runners. Why - besides the fact that they are coached by Glenroy - would they be named to the team?

@kingwwc He can still run the 10k. This article says he is nursing a hamstring injury: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/olympics/canadian-upstart-runner-cam-levins-will-cap-dream-season-in-london/article4378251/ On Twitter, AC explained that since he is named to the team, will be in London, and has the standard for the 10000m, the head coach can decide once they get there to enter him. I imagine it will have something to do with his health and preparation.

I would think that Sheila Reid would qualify for a rising star. She ran under the B standard earlier this year then won the Canadian Championships. Her performances the past few years at NCAAs would indicate that she has the type of finishing speed that would serve her well in tactical early rounds and could see advancing (possibly further than some of our sprinters will) so I think she would be a great addition to the team.

@eighthundred I actually don't think there are too many arguments with how this team was picked. Of course if I was king and could pick the team that would have the best chance to place well or medal Priscilla would be on it. It is quite sad to see one of our best chances at a medal and the woman who dominated the 100m hurdles all year not go because of one hit hurdle. Some countries (not the US) would choose her over Holder. Not that Holder isn't good, but she doesn't have as good of a chance at a medal as Priscilla would have had.
