Without a single runner higher than tenth, West Point Grey Academy was led by a solid pack to a provincial championship by the narrowest of margins (two points) over Oak Bay. This season the voters are giving them a slight edge once again. Katelyn Hayward is the heavy favourite to win the individual title if she competes with last year's champion from Killarney, Tanya Humeniuk, right on her heels.
