Throwback: Sprints, Hurdles Races At Region 7


Throwback: Last year during Region 7 action, Joseph Clifford, T'Kayla Kelley and Jacob Rhodes were among the meet's individual race winners. 

Clifford, then a senior at John Glenn and now suiting up for the University of Nebraska, went 14.53 and 38.08 for 1st place showings in the 110H and 300H contests. He would carry that momentum on to the next week, where he secured his second consecutive Division 2 state title in the 110H and took the 3rd spot in the 300H at Jesse Owens Stadium.

Steubenville's Kelley collected wins in the 100, 200 and 400 events with 12.31, 25.60 and 58.55 marks. Kelley, now a member of the University of Dayton Flyers, went on to take top 7 placements in the 100 and 200 at the state meet

Jacob Rhodes picked up victories in the 100 and 200 with times of 10.96 and 22.10. Similar to Clifford and Kelley, Rhodes, then a senior at Sheridan, would experience success at the state meet, as he pocketed 3rd place finishes in the 100 and 200 to close out his high school career.
