Track & Field Interviews: Alex Scales & Meika Beaudoin-Rousseau

As part of MileSplitCA's detailed walk-up to the 2018 CIF Track & Field season, one of the objectives is to interview as many of the elite and returning athletes as we are able to catch up with to provide a feature video for our premium subscribers. Although we are now into the season, we have managed to interview all returning CIF-State champions as well as quite a few other top returners.

In this feature, we profile two record-setting runners at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose. Alex Scales was the runner-up in the 800m at the CIF-State meet last June and ran the fastest two-lapper in CA last season, sub-1:51. Scales' classmate Meika Beaudoin-Rousseau is one of CA's elite distance runners. After setting the school record in the 3200m at Arcadia and joining Scales to help the 4x800m and DMR teams set school records, illness undermined his 2016 season. MBR, who is headed to Stanford, has big plans for his season.

Learn more about these two special runners in our latest installment of the Track & Field Preview Interview series.
